What Are Illegal Pensions?

I try not to post GRAPHIC images but this needs to be seen so please be warned, they will haunt you.
PENSIONS!!! No doubt you will have seen the posts by individuals and groups, £500 needed for this month pension fees, £3000 pension debt this month.
The word conjures up an image of kennels or a dog hotel when the reality is very different.
Most are simply barns or basements in a villagers garden with 20-40 and in some cases, 70 dogs being housed there, if you can call it housed. Parvo and distemper is rife, this is confirmed by many involved in rescue in Serbia and Bosnia, there is no disease control, no isolation areas and in many cases, dogs are barely fed so immune systems are weakened.
The reality is, some of these dogs would have a better chance of survival on the streets but we in the UK and the West have created a lucrative business for many out of these dogs. From Romanian, to Serbia, Bosnia and further afield, we have allowed a monster to grow and subsequently, contributed to the suffering and death of the very dogs those involved claim to be saving.
An illegal "PENSION" owner will be paid 200-300 euro / month and take on average say 30-40 dogs. So called "RESCUERS" will then ask people in the UK, Germany, Austria etc to pay 50-70 euro per dog per month for their "pension" fees. That's quite a sizable profit margin for somebody but of course, it's not about the money, it's about the dogs, RIGHT?
So if it's about the dogs, why are dogs living in the conditions shown in the photos and why are dogs BURNING to death and why are dogs dying of disease having being slung in a basement with dogs infected with distemper? Of course sponsors and donors never get to see or hear of the reality that is the pensions, they are assured that their rescuer only uses the very best pension and FB posts and stories are sanitized so that only the happy ever after stories are told.
The photos tell their own story first set is an illegal pension where the dogs live in filth, dirty water, feces everywhere. The second set is horrific but needs to be seen. A private Serbian pension, the dogs were locked in cages when a fire started in the adjacent field. Nobody was at the "pension" so the dogs burned to death, 8 died before help arrived. This is typical, dogs dumped in a so called "pension" or "shelter" with somebody visiting once a day or every couple of days to feed them. This is what UK money is paying for, this is the industry that those purporting to care for animals have created. But never mind, keep your heads in the clouds and turn a blind eye while these so called rescuers take the money from your wallets and feed you lies and happy ever after stories.
Answer me one question honestly!!!!! If you opened the paper tomorrow and saw a photo of a derelict building with dirt, feces and caged dogs, never mind burnt bodies, alongside a story of how these dogs were taken off the street by some scumbag and kept in inhumane conditions to supposedly save them going to the pound and possibly being put to sleep. Would you be sending £££'s to help or be screaming for those involved to be hung drawn and quartered? Why on earth are you financing this? For every dog that makes it to the UK and 12 months on is in a safe and loving home, how many others have died and suffered along the way? Time to wake up, rethink and start again. Spay/neuter, education, support and re-home locally, the madness of paying idiots to collect hundreds of dogs in the hope of saving a few needs to end. Support genuine welfare organisations in these countries who will never support legal or illegal exporting of animals.
